About this event

Research shows that fishing has many health benefits. In addition to feeling the sunshine and breathing fresh air into our lungs, fishing helps to combat stress and anxiety. It also improves concentration and patience. As a bonus, fishing provides an opportunity to build relationships through bonding. Preparing your catch for a meal is a great way to eat a healthy food that is filled with omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins D and B2 (riboflavin), calcium, and phosphorus. Fish is also a good source of minerals such as, iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, and potassium.
